Highlights:

CONSUMPTION:

dir: Everett Aponte.

  • In this role, I played a young actrice who lands a role as a heroin addict. Unable to get it right she tries out the drug. The emotional depth that this role required and the height of the stakes allowed me to strengthen my acting. Playing a role that required addiction was very interesting and challenging; the amount of research and self-exploring that was needed to get it right pushed me as an actress. Emotionally filled roles are usually more my comfort zone type.

A PANDEMIC SIDE EFFECT:

dir: Caya Gropp

  • A post-pandemic short film is about a group of friends trying to find a solution to pay for the hospital fee of one of them. Marcy, the confident, know-it-all, big mouth and  leader of the group, comes up with the idea to rob a pizzeria; and everything goes south. Playing that role was different than what I'm used to but it was exciting. It got me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to have fun with a more “eccentric” character. I mean; who doesn’t love to play the mean girl sometimes?

2036:

dir: Simon Bellanger

  • A young scientist who lives in 2028 enters a simulation that takes her to the year 2036 where the human race is extinct and oxygen is almost inexistent. Her objective is to figure out how we can prevent this from happening. She is the only character in this film which was somewhat challenging. I had to protend something was chasing me, speak to a fake AI computer and imagine things that weren’t there. It was a great way to strengthen my Stanislavski method of Sense Memory.
